Looking for some traditional angling? Consider the Waterlog Angling Club - a fishing society for Waterlog subscribers only. The Club has rights to fish almost two miles of the Severn near Shrewsbury. It's a fairly wild stretch (without tarmac access, but a reasonable track), right out in the countryside with good fishing for barbel, chub and roach - as well as pike, dace and even the odd perch and salmon. The Club avoids competitions but does maintain an emailed catch report for those who want to participate. Membership is limited to about twenty-five anglers.
If you would like to join or to speak about the Club, please call on 01691 623225. Alternatively you can make your payment here using our online facility. (Please note that you need to be a Waterlog subscriber for your membership to be confirmed.)
If you don't want to commit to a year but like the idea of an exclusive, perhaps eccentric, country-house fishing party then you may want to consider the June Waterlog Angling Weekend (September fully booked but we can take names for a waiting list). For further details and booking options please go the website of the Grange where the weekends are held.
