Issue 67 - Lead us not into Temptation
I don't know about you but when I come to that part of the Lord’s Prayer my mind is more likely to focus on temptations of the flesh rather than temptations of the fish. But we live and learn and God knows a thing or two about fish and fishermen even if He’s silent on the subject of fly fishing. (That, of course, raises a deeply theological issue about how God can be all knowing and not know anything about fly fishing but we won’t tackle that one today.)

One sight of the river and as fishing days go it looked set to be a disaster from the word go: eighteen inches up if it was an inch, a swirling, froth flecked, peaty stew more suited to white water rafting than fishing.
